Is the marriage institute still relevant?
The program is in observance of Lag BaOmer – a traditional day of marriage in the Jewish communities.
Michael Milgrom, scholar, Jewish modern orthodox, will introduce the Jewish marriage rituals and tradition. His presentation is a 40-minute video prepared for the event. Afterwards, we continue with “Show and Tell” encouraging the participants to comment on or show personal heirlooms in their possession connected to marriage (rings, Ketubah). If time allows, we will add short videos showing weddings in different communities.
